KrishiX (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is dedicated to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how your personal data is collected, used, and safeguarded when you access or use the KrishiX mobile application, website, and related services.

1. Information We Collect

Account & Profile Information

When you create and set up your account, we collect your username, profile picture, phone number/email address, and general location details provided during onboarding.

User-Generated Content

Posts, images, text messages, comments, likes, and any visual or textual queries shared across community discussions or private chats.

Subscription & Transaction Details

Payment transaction identifiers, subscription status (Monthly/Annual Premium), and billing dates. (Note: We do not store complete debit/credit card numbers or UPI PINs; transactions are securely processed by authorized third-party payment gateways).

2. Device Permissions and How We Use Them

KrishiX requests specific device permissions strictly to enable core application features:

  • Camera

    Allows you to capture real-time images of crops, leaves, and pests for automated AI disease diagnosis.

  • Storage / Photo Library

    Enables uploading existing photos of plant leaves and crops for diagnosis or sharing images in community posts and profile setup.

  • Location (GPS / Network)

    Fetches real-time, hyperlocal agro-climatic data and weather forecasts to improve diagnostic precision and advisory relevance.

  • Notifications

    Alerts you to direct messages, follower updates, interactions on your posts (likes and comments), weather alerts, and crop advisories.

You can adjust or revoke these permissions at any time via your device operating system settings, though disabling certain permissions may limit functionality (such as instant disease scanning or localized weather updates).

3. How We Use Your Information

  • Core OperationsProvide, maintain, and optimize KrishiX services.
  • Automated Vision DisclosureCrop foliage, insect, and leaf images are analyzed using both on-device computer vision models and cloud multimodal AI to detect localized lesions, identify pests, and pinpoint affected areas with bounding boxes.
  • Geospatial & Climate ProcessingDevice coordinates and ambient weather data are used to derive satellite-aligned crop growth phenology (AMED) and landscape irrigation modeling (ALU) to calculate growth-stage-specific spray windows and disease vulnerability forecasts.
  • Data Safeguard Reassurance

    Crop photos, foliage captures, and farm images are processed strictly for agricultural pathology and botanical diagnosis, and are never used for personal biometric identification, facial recognition, or unauthorized tracking.

  • Community FeaturesFacilitate social networking features (messaging, posting, liking, commenting).
  • Hyperlocal AdvisoriesDeliver localized weather alerts, rainfall probabilities, and regional pest outbreak warnings based on your farming coordinates.
  • Account ProtectionManage KrishiX scan packs and subscription entitlements with secure server verification, protect scan limits from automated misuse, and maintain community integrity.

4. Data Sharing and Third-Party Disclosures

We do not sell your personal information. Data may be shared only under the following operational circumstances:
  • Cloud & Infrastructure ProvidersTrusted hosting, storage, and AI computing platforms under strict confidentiality obligations.
  • Payment ProcessorsRegulated payment gateways handling ₹49/month or ₹499/year subscription billing.
  • Legal ComplianceWhen required by applicable law, court order, or governmental authority.

5. Data Retention and Account Deletion

We retain personal information for as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide our services. You have the right to request deletion of your account, profile data, and uploaded content by contacting our support team at support@krishix.co.in.

We implement standard administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect personal data from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. However, no digital transmission or mobile environment is entirely immune to security breaches.
